Job Description Food Factory Employee

Negril Inc is looking for ambitious entry-level workers with a desire to start/build a career in a manufacturing food factory. Positions with us in our factory is in Linthicum Heights, MD (right outside Baltimore).

Will train.

Raises and advancement opportunities.

Full Time or Part Time Worker.

Linthicum Heights area, near bus and light rail routes. Right off 695 and Nursery Road.

Job Requirements

Experience in a warehouse or factory is a plus but not requirement.

Machine cleaning and sanitizing experience is a plus but not a requirement.

Must absolutely practice good hygiene and sanitation with food products.

Must be able to work on your feet up to eight or more hours in a day.

Knowledge and experience with Jamaican cuisine is a plus but not required.

Reliable transportation required, either by car or light rail/bus.

Reliable work history with good references required.

Must be willing to work in cold temperatures (pulling inventory from fridge or freezer) and working in rooms at 40 F.

Must be willing to carry heavy equipment or inventory up to 40 lbs. Must be a team player and work together with other employees to get the job done.

Description:

Giving customers the perfect caribbean experience that will make them count down the days until they can return. Whether you have experience as a cook, cashier, food prep, cleaning and washing, or no working experience at all, Negril can be the perfect place to start. Whether you want to work part time if you are a student, or if you want to become a full time employee, Negril can provide your needs. If you are a worker at Negril, your responsibilities include the following, but are not limited to:

Food Prep:

Preparing food for the customers by cutting vegetables, meat, etc.

Following recipes of food to the tee so the food remains consistent and excellent every time.

Managing an appropriate portion control so it remains consistent and fair to every customer.

Washing and cleaning equipment as needed throughout the day.

Customer Service:

Displaying a positive attitude at all times towards other employees and customers.

Being friendly to customers, and going above and beyond to meet their expectations under the circumstances of the job.

Understanding everything on our menu and all the ingredients inside food items to answer customers questions that they may have.

A Negril Restaurant Team Member is expected to:

Always be on time, if not early.

Speak clearly and politely to customers.

Dress appropriately for work.

Maintain a professional appearance.

Speak and understand English.

Respect and listen to other employees at the store.
